Introduction. The purpose of the group work is to:  1) Expose the students to the idea of working in multi-disciplinary teams; 2) To expose the student to the various deliverable a Project Manager will be required to facilitate and/or produce in the SDLC.

Requirements. Each group will be required to create the idea and deliverables for a system of their choosing.  This could be an internet, intranet, client server or other type of system.  No coding or prototypes will be required.  Only the Project Management and Other project deliverables will be required based on the schedule below.  The final project deliverable will be due in Week 11 as detailed below.

Class time of approximately 1 hour per class will be allowed for the groups to work together.  One of the deliverables for the final Project Report will be the minutes from each meeting.  Thus, at each group meeting, whether in or out of class, meeting minutes must be kept by someone in the group.  It is recommended that this duty be passed around to each member of the group.  The form for submitting the minutes is here

In addition, each student must keep a journal of his/her activity on the project to be turned in separately at the end of the quarter by each student.  This can be thought of as a time record on the project and for form for submitting must be electronic and can be found here.

Group Assignments. The group assignments can be found here. There is always the risk that in a team, certain members do more and certain members do less. If there are any problems such as this, or other related team problems, please let me know as soon as possible and note these in your journal. I will be keeping tabs on the teams progress.
